✳︎ You deserve the utmost care ✳︎ ✳︎

I’m not a silent wall. I’m an engaged, real human sitting with you in real time.

My Approach

I work best with clients who tend to put others first (aka the no boundaries club), feel disconnected from themselves, or struggle with shame, anxiety, emotional regulation, or a deep sense of “not enough.” Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after skepticism, I love supporting people who are curious, ready to explore their inner world, and open to collaborative, dynamic, emotion-focused work.

I’m most excited to work with first-time therapy clients and those who are ready to reconnect with themselves, who have never truly felt self-love or acceptance, and have a trauma history.

I especially enjoy supporting people-pleasers, those struggling with self-worth, sensitive souls, and anyone seeking more authenticity, clarity, and self-trust in their relationships and daily life.

Sessions with me

Our first sessions will focus on gaining clarity on your goals, life story, needs, and relational patterns. We will create a structure for how to “build” our sessions and time together. I will provide guidance and equal freedom/invitation for YOU to take as much space as you need and want. I value transparency, feedback with one another, and tweaking therapy as we go to meet your current desires.

Our time will have direction and outcomes. I care about you and your growth. I will always try my best to do what is in your best interest and check it out with you so we can make decisions together. You’ll always know where my head is at! No guess work.

Philosophy and Orientation

I believe that us humans are deeply creative and resilient beings in the ways we learn to survive (it never fails to amaze me!). Sometimes our survival strategies, or “protector parts”, are no longer needed but stick around just in case. I believe that therapy is an opportunity to explore these parts, meet them with compassion, be-friend them, and help our wisest self learn to guide the way. We will learn how to relate differently to our emotions and experiences, not reject or dismiss them.

My ultimate hope is that my clients will build self-trust, discernment, and freedom and power over their decisions. Sometimes our survival skills are necessary to keep around. We can test it out together, tease it apart, and practice working with activated parts in session. Not everything is black and white! Therapy helps us expand our sense of right, wrong, good, and bad. I am very much a both/and kind of person.

Story-telling can be a wonderful way to connect and I value its function in the therapeutic space. To avoid “feeling like I am just reporting my week” or “I am only venting”, I tend to invite folks to feel into what is happening in the room and in the immediate moment; the here and now. This helps us connect to our more present selves and move away from intellectualizing or dissociation.  Psycho-dynamic work is just that, dynamic psyche work, meaning we are examining and noticing the psyche in action (fun)!

I also know that “healing work” is exhausting, so therapy can be a time to breathe from the harshness of life. Healing also means knowing when to take breaks and say “not today.” In our time together, I hope we can help you gain insight on your yes and your no.

Alliance

Therapy is a mutually reciprocal experience, meaning you impact me as I impact you. Our relationship is the vessel of the healing work. I’m in this with you, fellow traveler!
